PTV
Manresa, Spain.
PTV was named after company owners Perramon, Tacho and Vila.
Automoviles Utilitarios S. A., (AUSA) was established in 1956, in Manresa, near Barcelona, and started as builders of the PTV brand of microcars.
The four friends, Maurici Perramon, Antoni Tachó, Guillem Tachó and Josep Vila, established an organization called Automóviles Utilitarios Sociedad Anónima (AUSA) in order to launch their dream: the production of a microcar under the PTV brand, whose name came from the initials of its founders’ surnames.
They were mass produced and 1,100 units were sold up to 1961. Produced with 100% AUSA technology, the PTV brand became a symbol of quality and comfort. (source: AUSA)
