Pipe
Brussels, Belgium.
Pipe was founded by the brothers Alfred and Victor Goldschmidt in Brussels around 1898.

Their first car appeared in 1900, a two-cylinder “6 CV” type, similar to contemporary cars by Panhard & Levassor. By 1901 they built a “sporty” 15 CV model with a 4-cylinder engine.
Over the next years, Pipe expanded to more powerful cars. For example: 90 CV models in 1903; 60 CV in 1904 (with a 13.5-litre 4-cylinder).
Pipe was actively producing cars until WWI; after the war they briefly resumed, but soon shifted to trucks under the “Bovy-Pipe” label. Pipe cars were built roughly between 1900 and 1922, with the glory years (most car production) between 1900 and ~1908.
