This rare Mercedes-Benz 300d “Adenauer” was ordered new in 1958 by then Cuban President Fulgencio Batista. Batista had hosted the Cuban Grand Prix races in 1957.

Fidel Castro confiscated the car for his own use until 1965 when his Mercedes-Benz 600 limousine arrived. The 300d was sent to the Cuban Embassy in Canada where it served until the 1970s. It was then placed in storage for 40 years.

The current owner obtained the car in 2015 and undertook a mechanical reconditioning. Showing just 15,000 miles, the car is largely original with the exception of one repaint in 1970.
