Citroën
SM
The Citroën SM was unveiled in 1970 at the Geneva Motor Show.
SM stood for “Série Maserati” (series Maserati) or sometimes “Sa Majesté” (Her Majesty) in French press at the time.
Styling by Robert Opron, featuring aerodynamic lines, covered headlights (in most markets), and a distinctive teardrop shape. Its drag coefficient was just 0.26–0.33, very advanced for the era. Only about 12,920 cars were produced (1970–1975).
