J.Bader, founder and owner of Bader Racing had a vision. Jochen started his mission in the late 1990's. After a total of five intensive years this extraordinary car was completed.
The vision of Jochen Bader was to create a unique car which can be driven on the road or track and is not available for just anyone.
The planning and design of complete modules combined with parts and components from series production became necessary.
Original Body with slight adaptions in the areas of the fenders. The styling elements in chrome, paint and shape were purposely kept to keep the appearance in its original simplicity.
Maximum stiffness is achieved by a welded safety cell. The rollcage is made of a special steel and is painted in matching car colour.
A special chassis for this extra-ordinary car. Nothing out of the shelf fits here. The racing struts are dynamical and sporty but are still comfortable when driving.
The struts can be adjusted individually while racing unibal joints complete the perfect chassis.
The last "real" aircooled Porsche engine fits perfectly in the aircooled Karmann Ghia. The base version of the 993 engine with 3,6 liters and 286 h.p. was tuned with racing parts and now achieves a power of 320 h.p. with a torque of 386 Nm.
Optimized cylinder heads, sport camshafts, RS rocker arms, an optimized exhaust system and a newly programmed engine management catapult the street machine into new dimensions.
The 6 speed manual transmission with differential block transmits this power via Cup Constant velocity joints on the street.
- Original 3,6 litre Porsche 993 six cylinder engine with 285 h.p.
- 993 Cup intake manifold with GT3 Cup airfilter
- Sport camshafts with fixed rockerarms and racing valve lifters
- Porsche RS single mass flywheel with Sachs race clutch
- fixed cooling airfan Cup version
- higher compression, enginehousing machined, GT3 oilpump
- 993 Cup engine management, max 7250 rpm, program map, fuel pressure regulator etc. adjusted.
- power 321 h.p., torque 386 Nm
- exhaust system optimized Porsche 993 with 2 100 Zeller Racing con-verters.

Fabulicious!! I luv it.....I am ever so motivated to begin work on my Karmann Ghia as I can't afford this one. Nice job!
Simplesmente lindo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just bought a 1966 Karman Ghia for $1100. All of the body work completed and getting 3 coats of primer. I am painting it the exact same silver as yours and putting in a 1835 w/dual 40s. Also all IRS in front and back and have front lowering bar so should sit and respond quite well. Your ghia really gave me motivation and direction as to where I wanted to go. The painter is using laquer and was wondering if you could please give me a color code???
Thanks,
John
