Come the Specialty Equipment Market Association show this November, the re-founded Motion LLC will launch the Baldwin-Motion Camaro SuperCoupe, a tube-chassis monster the cost of which will scare even the captains of industry who might be able to afford it.
"It's very expensive," said Motion partner Marty Shorr. It's not a $100,000 car it's considerably more.
While each of the 12 cars planned will be coach-built to customer specs, you can expect a 600-hp, 8.8-liter V8 with aluminum block and heads, steel crank, forged everything, as well as modern niceties like rack-and-pinion steering, Viper-based rear end, gigantic Baer brakes and a five-speed manual gearbox. As Shorr, ever the promoter, says, It's the real deal.
Prices will be announced at SEMA.
