After a very short, 9-month relationship with my 2002 BMW E46 M3 Coupe, I stumbled on to this absolutely mint and practically new 2006 BMW E46 M3 Convertible with only 8500 miles (in silver - my favorite color) on ebay. On July 23, 2009, it was mine.

This car has every option you could get on an M3 with the exception of the navigation system and the SMG (which I prefer since I wanted a manual).
2006 was the last year for the E46 M3. There was no 2007 model, and the E92 V8 powered M3 was introduced in 2008.

Wow, sorry to hear about your experience with your new M! So in the end there was nothing wrong? These cars are just like everything else in this world & will eventually have a problem. There are thousands of parts to a vehicle, so it is practically inevitable for something to go wrong. I had an estoril E36 M3, that lowered, installed a ssk, 18" inch breyton inspirations, intake, exhaust & a few other bolt-ons, before selling it for my silver grey metallic E46 M3 vert. My car is also 6speed equipped & has all options, with OEM 19's, minus the factory navigation. I prefer GARMIN navigation units over factory units anyway. I HIGHLY recommend getting a hardtop! That was the 1st thing I bought for my car & even though it's only used 1/2 the year it is definitely my favorite purchase thus far. I've also put Aurora 60 count LED angel eyes 'with a custom hidden dimmer knob' "https://www.europeanautosource.com", tinted front & side signals, black gills & grills 'not installed yet' 19" '245 front-275 rear' rims & tires with a 4" rear lip. I installed a 40% ssk from "http://www.autosolutions.net", an authentic Eisenmann race exhaust, with Meisterschaft 2 & 3 center pipes & K&N intake. I'm pretty sure that's it so far. Next is another set of rims, coilovers & I'm thinking about going FI.... Well enough rmbling. Your car looks good!!! Here's a few links to pictures of my old & a lot of the new car:

The pictures are far from the quality of yours, but you get the idea.
Brian,
I love your M3. Those wheels are amazing. As is the Aurora 60 count LED angel eyes. I've always wanted to add these to my car, but was told it was difficult to do. I will look into it right away. I think the hardtop is very cool too, but I'm not sure i would ever use it. I have one for my 911, and it just sits in the garage.
