Anyone that knows me is very familiar with my views on tagging. I could do an article on this issue alone (and yes, I do appreciate "art").
Lately however, I have noticed that, at least in Chicago, this level of disrespect has moved on from buildings, walls, glass and sidewalks to actual cars.
Astonishing. I am stunned by it. I can not begin to imagine what I would do if this was done to me.
I do not have a photo for this instance, but just a few weeks ago, I saw a brand new Mini Cooper S tagged on the side of the car. unbelievable.
What follows are posts of vehicles as I stumble on to them both in Chicago and elsewhere. As you can see below, the sickness has traveled, as seen in the images from Barcelona.

I can understand someone defacing a symbol of oppression or corporate greed as a political statement. But writing a stylized version of your name on someone's car or building is just narcissistic. My garage door was tagged, as were buildings in my SF neighbourhood.
No political statements. Nothing witty. Just the same boring scrawl on every wall.
We had an instance of this in our (relatively) upscale residential neighborhood of Mission Hills in San Diego last year. My friend's Jetta was tagged two times, as were a few other cars parked streetside. It was scratched into the paint, but fortunately it buffed out.
What is up with taggers to ruin some stranger's car? Vanity, boredom, disrespect? Or are they lifting their proverbial leg to let us know we are not the only dog in the neighborhood?
Or, perhaps, some POd ex just got the wrong car...
If they paint on the car, use denatured alcohol to remove the tag, it will hurt the clear but as you can see, if you leave it on more A** H**** feel the need to tag.
We used it to clean up on a white van. It worked well.
WELCOME TO AMERICA...
I have to seriously wonder about the mental state of anyone who'd do something like this. Absolutely zero consideration or respect for somebody else's property. I almost literally makes me sick. It frightens me that we live in a world that can produce people who are so unfeeling for their fellow man.
