Many years ago my mother was a chauffeuse for a Lady Thomas whose son owned a Diatto. I believe he used to race it at Brooklands. That is all I can remember and my mother is now long gone. Mike Travis. Southampton.
I have tried your search site but could not get anything - I am seeking information about an engine that I recently acquired - I live in Queensland Australia - engine tag marks the engine as
Motore Torino DNF 30 Diatto A Clement Torino. I have Museums in Turin, Engine Forums and even 2 English spaeking/writing newspapers in Turin but I have had no reply or any suitable information from the Forum.
This engine with the name of Diatto A Clement must be of the vintage 1905/1909 - it is a single cylinder engine with a very old magneto in the shape of an inverted up. The cylinder is of bulbous type.
I can forward photos if requested - weighs approx 80 kg - it has a long starting section in front of the flywheel
Hope you can reply many thanks Bill
